Massive Reduction in Petrol, Diesel Prices Announced

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a massive reduction in petroleum prices as a special gift to the public for Eid-ul-Adha.

The price of petrol has been cut by Rs 10.20 per liter, and diesel prices have been reduced by Rs 2.33 per liter.

The new prices after reduction: Petrol is now Rs 258.16 per liter, and High-Speed Diesel is Rs 268.89 per liter.

Federal Information Minister Ata Tarar stated that the notification for the price reduction will be applicable from June 14 instead of June 15.

In a gesture aimed at providing relief to the citizens, the Prime Minister approved these reductions, reflecting the government's commitment to easing the financial burden on the populace.

This follows a previous reduction on June 1, when petrol prices were decreased by Rs 4.74 and diesel by Rs 3.86 per liter.
