The Chairman of the Commission and the Chairman of the Board must also be the Secretary of the Commission.

Islamabad, July 21, 2023: The expulsion of Board members of the Privatisation Commission has received permission from the federal cabinet.

Zafar Iqbal, Engineer Memon Abdul Jabbar, Zafar Iqbal Sobani, Arsallah Khan Hoti, Khurram Schehzad, Ashfaq Yousuf Tola, Yawar Irfan Khan, and Etrat Hussain Rizvi are among the members who have been expelled.

The members held board positions during the terms of the current administration, the previous Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration, and the prior Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) administration. 2013–2015 saw the appointment of the members.

2013 saw the appointment of Zafar Iqbal Sobani and Arsallah Khan Hoti. Khurram Schehzad and Zafar Iqbal were added to the board in 2014, and engineers Memon Abdul Jabbar, Ashfaq Yousuf Tola, Yawar Irfan Khan, and Etrat Hussain Rizvi were appointed in 2015.

The Board shall be responsible for the overall management and administration of the Commission's business in accordance with the Privatisation Commission Ordinance, 2000. The Chairman, the Secretary, and six more members make up the Board, or any greater number that the Federal Government deems appropriate.

According to the Ordinance, both the Chairman of the Commission and the Chairman of the Board must also be the Secretary of the Commission.
