It should be noted that the previous record closing, achieved on May 24, 2017, was 52,876 points. While 53,127 was the previous intraday all-time high.

0.89%, or 466.27 points, were added to the index during today's intraday trading.

With an intraday high of 53,263.07 (+606.31) and a low of 52,782.21 (+125.45) points, the index was positive throughout the day.

The KSE-100 Index had a total volume of 215.884 million shares.

Out of the 100 index companies, 13 stayed untraded, 2 were unchanged, 64 closed up, and 21 closed down.

Commercial banks contributed 119.8, Power Generation & Distribution contributed 77.94, Pharmaceuticals contributed 53.74, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies contributed 38.82, and Food & Personal Care Products contributed 33.29 points to the KSE-100 index.

MEBL with 87.46, HUBC with 80.72, OGDC with 24.03, FFC with 23.1, and LUCK with 21.81 points were the companies that added points to the index.

Leather & Tanneries received 13.99 points, Fertilizer received 8.36, Cable & Electrical Goods received 2.2, Synthetic & Rayon received 2.07, and Textile Spinning received 0.22 points, all of which were below the KSE-100 Index.

HBL with 23.81, ENGRO with 22.59, POL with 15.61, SRVI with 13.99, and MLCF with 8.78 points were the companies that pulled the index lower.

With a net gain of 373.09 points, the All-Share index closed at 35,434.61 in the overall market.

Neither the closing all-time high of 36,240 points nor the intraday all-time high of 36,389.5 have been broken by the All-Share index thus far.

The traded value was recorded at Rs15.59 billion, indicating an increase of Rs1.01 billion, while the total market volume was 509.113 million shares, down from 475.086 in the previous session.

202,991 trades were recorded across 365 companies, of which 225 ended in a gain, 115 in a loss, and 25 in an unaltered state.
