Pakistani Passport Delivery Time Reduced to Just a Few Days

In a recent development, the Pakistani authorities have taken measures to expedite the process of issuing passports by significantly reducing delivery times for all categories.

The Director General of Immigration and Passports issued an official notification, announcing the changes to passport delivery times. This move aims to enhance efficiency and provide quicker service to applicants.

According to the notification, the delivery times for different passport services have been revamped. The normal passport service now guarantees delivery within 10 days, while the urgent service promises a delivery time of four days. For those in need of a fast-track service, passports will now be delivered within a mere two days.

This reduction in delivery times marks a considerable improvement over the previous system. Previously, normal passport service took up to 21 days for delivery, the urgent service took seven days, and the fast-track service took four days.

The decision to shorten the delivery times comes as a relief to many passport applicants who have experienced delays in receiving their passports. The authorities have taken this step in response to the growing number of passport applications in recent times.

The Director General of Immigration and Passports has been inundated with a high volume of passport applications, prompting the need for an efficient passport delivery system and addressing the backlog of pending applications.

The revised delivery times will particularly benefit individuals who require passports urgently for work or medical reasons. The Director General of Immigration and Passports advises all applicants to follow the prescribed procedures and ensure they provide all necessary documents to facilitate a smooth and hassle-free application process.

It is worth noting that there has been no mention of any changes in the passport fee structure.
