The Pakistan Embassy in Beijing, in partnership with the Silk Road International Art Centre in Langfang and the renowned Truck Artists enterprise ‘Phool Patti,’ organized a Truck Art Festival in Langfang, China to appropriately commemorate Pakistan’s 83rd National Day.

The event was part of the activities scheduled to commemorate 2023 as the Year of Tourism Exchanges between China and Pakistan.

More than 300 individuals attended the opening event, including Chinese dignitaries, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, media representatives, and members of the Pakistani community.

Ambassador Moin ul Haque spoke on the occasion and paid thanks to the nation’s founding fathers, leaders, martyrs, and heroes for their significant contributions to making Pakistan a reality. He remarked that it was now the responsibility of the entire nation to make Pakistan a peaceful, progressive, prosperous, and pluralistic society. He also emphasized Pakistan’s merits as a tourism destination, asking Chinese friends to visit Pakistan, especially this year, which is designated as the China-Pakistan Year of Tourism Exchanges.

Underscoring the long-standing nature of China-Pakistan friendship, the Ambassador expressed hope that the two countries would place even more emphasis on cultural and people-to-people exchanges in order to further promote and strengthen goodwill and friendship between our two peoples, particularly the younger generation.

The Vice Chairman of ENN, the parent company of Silk Road International Art Centre, expressed his appreciation for the Center’s collaboration with the Pakistan Embassy and his admiration for Pakistan’s unique culture. He emphasized that his Centre was happy to organize this exhibition, which introduced prominent Pakistani artists’ work to a Chinese audience.

The ‘Phool Patti’ team created a specifically designed truck model as well as other objects such as bicycles, murals, garments, fans, and ceramic pots for the three-month show.
