Green Line Bus service becomes operational in Quetta

Balochistan’s provincial administration began the inter-city Green Bus Service in the provincial capital on Monday (today) to provide inhabitants with quality transportation services.

The much-anticipated Green Bus Service has begun operations in Quetta. The trial project, which consists of eight buses, intends to provide Quetta residents with more inexpensive and convenient transportation options.

Dr. Faisal Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Balochistan Public Private Partnership, expressed his excitement over the Green Bus Service’s inauguration.

“This is the first time in Balochistan’s history that such a service has been introduced,” he remarked.

The Green Buses will run on a number of routes throughout the city, including Airport Road, Zarghoon Road, Sariab Road, and Balochistan University.

The programme is part of the government’s larger drive to modernise public transit and encourage ecologically friendly means of transportation.

It is worth noting that the project was approved by the government of Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan.

The introduction of the Green Bus Service in Quetta is an important milestone in the city’s transportation environment, as the province’s capital has had an outdated public transportation infrastructure for the last three decades, with only seven bus routes.
