NEPRA reduces power tariff for KE consumers

K-Electric (KE) has applied to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to cut the power price for the month of April 2023 due to fuel costs adjustment (FCA).

According to a K-Electric official, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) held a hearing on power tariffs, and as a result of the hearing, electricity rates for KE customers will be cut by Rs 0.5 per unit.

This cut in power costs is estimated to provide KE customers with a total of Rs 72 million in financial relief.

However, the power tariff reduction will not apply to KE’s lifeline customers.

Pakistan Army has emerged as a rising global military power as it ranks as the seventh most powerful army in the world, according to the Military Strength Rankings 2023.

The notification stated that the assistance will not be available to lifeline users, consumers with less than 300 units, agricultural consumers, or electric vehicle charging stations and that it will only be available for one month.
