Islamabad Establishes Free-of-Charge Marriage Hall for needy Families

Masjid Rehmat ul Alamin F/8 in Islamabad has created a free marriage hall to assist worthy families in celebrating their daughters’ weddings with respect and dignity.

This charitable initiative aims to make the special day of deserving families even more memorable by providing a free marriage hall outfitted with a stage for the bride and groom, as well as crockery, tables, chairs, and trained waiters, to serve food to orphans and deserving brides’ guests.

The venue is available for three hours and features a stage for the bride and groom. The mosque administration permits parents to either solemnize their daughter’s Nikkah personally or appoint a Khateeb of their choice for the event.

Deserving parents can contact the mosque management committee to reserve the hall.

Taj Qamar, a mosque committee member, stated that the wedding-related activities will continue uninterrupted even during prayer hours.

He urged people to correlate their daughters’ departure with the call to prayer (Azan) and prayer (Salah) in order to eradicate superstitions and create a blessed environment conducive to a new life.

According to Qamar, the mosque advises families wishing to attend the event to limit the number of visitors to 100 or 120 people, with an equal number of men and women, and to stress Islamic teachings while avoiding religious extravagance.

To ensure a successful occasion, three men and three women from the family should be in charge of organizing and maintaining order, with one man and one woman designated to oversee the event and ensure that the mosque administration does not participate.
