Exports From Pakistan to China Oncreased by 37% in The Past 10 Months

Islamabad: According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Pakistan's export of goods and services to China increased by 37.68% in the first ten months of the fiscal year 2023-24 compared to the same period last year.

From July to April 2023-24, exports to China totaled US $2.341 billion, up from US $1.700 billion in July-April 2022-23. On a yearly basis, exports to China increased by 13.56% in April 2024 compared to April 2023.

However, exports to China decreased by 18.97% in April 2024 compared to March 2024. Overall, Pakistan's exports to other countries increased by 10.64% in the first ten months of the fiscal year, reaching US $25.669 billion.

Imports from China to Pakistan increased by 27.61% in July-April 2023-24, totaling US $10.648 billion compared to US $8.343 billion last year. On a yearly basis, imports from China increased by 114.92% in April 2024 compared to April 2023.

Imports from China also saw a slight increase of 1.39% in April 2024 compared to March 2024. Overall imports into Pakistan decreased by 5.27%, from US $45.766 billion to US $43.353 billion, according to the data.
