It has been verified by TikTok that its subscribers would be able to subscribe without ads.

TikTok is currently offering users the choice to upgrade to an ad-free version of the app or continue using the free version with advertisements, as was first reported by Android Authority.

It has been confirmed by TikTok that the new option is only being tested in one English-speaking market outside of the United States. Right now, users would have to pay $4.99 a month to access TikTok without advertisements. Depending on the outcomes of the testing phase, the final cost may change.

TikTok has depended on the advertisements to generate income. The platform hopes to generate revenue from membership fees with the launch of the new tier.
