The Securities and Exchange of Pakistan (SECP), in collaboration with UN Women Pakistan, is gearing up to organize a symposium centered around "Advancing Progress on Sustainability and Climate Change Considerations," as per an official press release today.

Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, is set to grace the symposium as the chief guest.

Distinguished leaders and experts from various capital market institutions, including the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Pakistan Business Council, Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, Mutual Fund Association of Pakistan, and the Asian Development Bank, are slated to participate in this event.

Among the participating entities are the International Finance Corporation, InfraZamin, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, CFA-Pakistan, ACCA-Pakistan, corporate leaders, and academia.

Key discussions at the symposium will revolve around policy considerations regarding ESG-based investments and climate change. Additionally, the event aims to facilitate consultations on the draft ESG disclosure guidelines.

Experts will engage in open forums to deliberate on ESG action plans and provide valuable feedback on the 'ESG Sustain' website—a premier resource for sustainability knowledge.
