Within three days of its launch, PTV Flix, a new video-streaming over-the-top (OTT) platform from Pakistan Television, had 100,000 downloads.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, launched the programme last Sunday, with the goal of providing viewers with access to the PTV’s extensive library of content on their mobile devices and television displays.
On the occasion, the minister expressed her delight at the project’s launch, which was initiated in July 2022, saying it would connect viewers with a national treasure of shows, dramas, documentaries, sports, and other programmes, particularly those produced during the PTV’s golden era.
“Popular dramas and PTV shows like Dhoop Kinaray and Aynakwala Jin have become part of our collective memory,” she says.
She claims that PTV Flix offers a large library of current and archived content that users may readily access.
According to Marritum Aurangzeb, the programme would link the young and old with the PTV content that has had an indelible impact on countless lives.
The PTV Flix app is available for both Android and iOS devices.
