PSX gains 28 points

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100-index gained 28.46 points on Friday, a 0.06 percent increase, closing at 44,207.31 points, up from 44,178.85 points the previous trading day.

A total of 247,993,312 shares were traded during the day, compared to 297,822,139 shares the previous day, with the share price standing at Rs.8.512 billion, compared to Rs.12.428 billion the previous trading day.

In total, 327 firms traded their shares on the stock exchange, with 158 recording gains and 149 suffering losses, while the share price of 20 companies remained steady.

WorldCall Telecom had 35,838,308 shares trading at Rs.1.25 per share, Telecard Limited had 19,877,612 shares trading at Rs.7.72 per share, and TRG Pak Ltd had 14,648,705 shares trading at Rs.106.43 per share.

Siemens Pak saw the greatest increase in per share price, closing at Rs.738.80, while Mehmood Tex saw the worst decrease in per share price, closing at Rs.762.38.

Rafhan Maize lost Rs.110.00 a share to settle at Rs.8,290.00, followed by Mari Petroleum, which lost Rs.9.79 to close at Rs.1,540.24.
