Pakistan Post faces loss of 500 million rupees: Report

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Post Office has revealed that the state-run enterprise has lost more than 50 crore rupees in the year 2021-22.

According to the documents available with Daily Ausaf/ABN News, in different cases of fraud, theft, misappropriation, robbery, and embezzlement, the Pakistan Post Office facing the loss of more than 50 crore rupees.

According to the report, 229 incidents including theft, misappropriation, dacoity, and fraud have been reported in just three years, 79 cases were reported in 2021-22 and 86 cases were reported in 2020-21.

Reports available with Daily Ausaf revealed that, in 2021-22, the Pakistan Post suffered a loss of more than 11 crore 50 lakh.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Post Office has suffered a loss of 13.18 million rupees in 86 cases during 2020-21. As for 2019-20, 14 incidents have been reported and in these 14 incidents, the Pakistan Post Office has suffered a loss of more than 256.2 million rupees.
