New Oil and Gas Reserves Found in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Islamabad: In a significant boost to Pakistan's economy, new oil and gas reserves have been discovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while production has resumed in Sindh with the installation of modern pumps.

The Oil and Gas Development Company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange that the Chandna Seven well in the Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has yielded 305 barrels of crude oil and 2.5 million cubic feet of gas reserves.

Additionally, the well will produce 3 metric tons of LPG, which is connected to the plant via a 1.3 km flow line. Gas supply from the new reservoir to Sui Northern Gas Company has already commenced.

In Sindh, the installation of modern pumps at eight wells in Kannada has restored oil and gas production, with the Kunar 8 wells now producing 540 barrels of crude oil per day.
