KARACHI: In a significant development for the Pakistan economy, the National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) has secured a prestigious consultancy services project. This project entails conducting a feasibility study and designing Pakistan's inaugural Smart Education City, situated in District Malir, Karachi. The Board of Investment, Government of Sindh, awarded this project to NESPAK, marking a pioneering endeavor in the realm of advanced urban development.

Managing Director of NESPAK, Zargham Eshaq Khan, disclosed the details of this groundbreaking initiative during a press briefing held on Wednesday. The foundation of this ambitious project lies in the application of cutting-edge Smart and Safe City concepts, aiming to redefine the educational landscape in Pakistan.

The primary objective of this initiative is to establish a sophisticated governance system that harnesses technology and digital infrastructure to oversee city-wide resources in real-time. This will be facilitated through a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, demonstrating a commitment to incorporating the latest technological advancements into the education sector.

Zargham Eshaq Khan further emphasized that all the systems involved in this endeavor will be seamlessly interconnected through fast, reliable, and secure Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) technology, ensuring efficient and real-time data transfer.
