The National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage, now known by its new name, "Lok Virsa," has successfully digitized its musical archives. This innovation gives fans of music all across the world access to incredible recordings made by Pakistan's musical superstars.

On August 8, Salman Sufi, the chief of the Strategic Reforms Unit of the Prime Minister, posted this information on the website formerly known as Twitter. Both the Lok Virsa website and YouTube now offer access to these archives.

Sufi stressed the cultural importance of music in society in a video message, praising Pakistani musicians for creating a seductive world of tunes that have been cherished all over the world. We cordially encourage you to peruse the Lok Virsa archives, an organization that has given artists a stage since the 1970s.

"We have uploaded the original recordings of our artists that were previously only available on VHS and analog formats." He stated that this is the first time Pakistan's traditional treasures have been shared with the globe via these digital platforms.

Recordings by well-known performers like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Abida Parveen, Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi, Ghulam Ali, Iqbal Bano, Mansoor Malangi, Tufail Niazi, Farida Khanum, Pathany Khan, and Ustad Salamat Ali can be found in the online Lok Virsa archives.

Sufi claims that a sizable library of more than 50,000 songs, movies, and behind-the-scenes materials would be gradually posted. The goal of this initiative is to secure our music's copyright while making it available to a worldwide audience. The world has received incredible music thanks to our musicians. It's time to let everyone know about it.
