KSE-100 Index Concluded Monday's Trading Session at Another All-time High

With an intraday gain of 737.33 points, or 1.39%, the benchmark KSE-100 Index ended Monday's trading session at yet another all-time high of 53,860.37.

The index showed an intraday high of 53,944.89 (+821.85) and a low of 53,166.86 (+43.82) points, remaining positive throughout the day.

The KSE-100 Index saw 269.492 million shares traded overall.

It should be noted that the index increased by 2179 points over the previous week.

Out of the 100 index companies, 20 closed lower, 1 remained unchanged, and 77 did not trade.

Cement (183.16), Commercial Banks (122.77), Power Generation & Distribution (71.74), Fertilizer (71.19), and Chemical (59.21) were the sectors that supported the KSE-100 index.

Companies LUCK (80.8), HUBC (64.54), COLG (48.36), ENGRO (45.03), and BAHL (40.05) were the ones who added points to the index.

Insurance scored 5.27, Oil & Gas Marketing Companies 1.19, Synthetic & Rayon 0.94, Modarabas 0.54, and Vanaspati & Allied Industries 0.53 points, all performed poorly on the KSE-100 Index.

SYS with 13.08, PPL with 12.14, EFUG with 9.82, SNGP with 4.84, and ARPL with 3.12 points were the companies that pulled the index lower.

With a net gain of 464.19 points, the All-Share index closed at 35,898.80 in the overall market.

The total number of shares traded was 546.547 million, up from 509.113 in the previous session. The traded value was recorded at Rs17.91 billion, indicating a rise of Rs2.32 billion.

A total of 365 businesses reported trades, of which 253 ended up, 97 down, and 15 unchanged.
