K-Electric Overcomes Hurdles, Attracts New Investors: Power and Petroleum Minister

Caretaker Minister for Power and Petroleum, Muhammad Ali, announced in a recent video message that with the resolved challenges faced by K-Electric Limited (PSX: KEL), the company is now strategically positioned to rekindle the interest of potential and new investors.

Addressing previous hurdles, it's noteworthy that Shanghai Electric had previously expressed interest in K-Electric, although the deal had not come to fruition.

Moreover, Minister Muhammad Ali emphasized the government's proactive stance in dealing with intricate issues, highlighting their unwavering commitment to addressing critical matters within the energy sector in the times ahead.

The resolution of K-Electric's challenges marks a significant milestone for Karachi, potentially alleviating electricity-related issues in the city if KE can maintain its sustainability, he added.

Minister Ali extended appreciation for the pivotal roles played by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-haq Kakar, Finance Minister Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, the Ministry of Energy, the Finance Division, and the KE team in achieving this positive outcome.
