Islamabad Adds 30 Electric Buses

Islamabad: In Islamabad, an additional set of 8 electric buses arrived on Wednesday, boosting the total to 30 out of the planned 160 buses.

Today, 22 more buses reached the city, coinciding with the establishment of a charging station at Jinnah Convention Center. Initially, these 30 buses will operate along two designated routes.

The first route will start from NUST Orange Line Depot in G-11, running through G-11 Markaz, G-10 Markaz, G-9 Markaz, and G-8 Markaz before reaching PIMS Hospital. This route consists of 13 stops, with buses scheduled to arrive every ten minutes.

The second route will commence from PIMS and conclude at Bari Imam, passing through G-7, G-6, Melody, Abpara, Ataturk Road, Serena Hotel, Foreign Office, Radio Pakistan, and Diplomatic Enclave en route to Bari Imam.

Operating hours for the bus service will be from 6 AM to 10 PM.

Under the directives of Chairman CDA, a subsidy plan will be devised to assist deserving individuals, including the disabled and students.

These buses aim to offer modern and high-quality travel amenities to the residents of Islamabad.
