FBR Surpasses May Revenue Target With Rs760bn Collection
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has successfully surpassed its revenue target for May in the fiscal year 2023-24 by collecting Rs760 billion in tax revenues, compared to the set target of Rs745bn, said a statement issued by FBR today.
This represents a growth of 33% compared to May 2023.
Domestic taxes also witnessed a growth of 33% during the month of May.
Overall, in the first eleven months of the current fiscal year, revenue grew 31% as compared to the same period last year.
"FBR is poised to achieve the assigned target for the last month of the current financial year i.e. June 2024, " the statement added.
