CDA Launched Digital Platform for Property Services

Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa said on Friday that the CDA will commence digitizing the E-Registry and property transfer services from August 14, 2024.
Property sales and purchases, including those made by gift, power of attorney, mortgage, and other means, will be handled online through an e-registry.
The declaration was made during a meeting about the digitalization of CDA properties and ICT that was conducted at the CDA headquarters and was presided over by Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman of the CDA.
Attending the meeting were representatives from related departments. The chairman of the CDA was informed that the documents would be scanned and indexed in less than two months. The project will also entail the digitization of maps.

The entry and repair of historical records will be a part of the digitalization process, the CDA chairman was informed. This will assist in addressing fraud and forgery concerns.
Their property records, which are connected to the Nadra system, will be made available to the public.
There will also be GIS mapping used. Pakistanis living abroad would also be able to verify the status of properties before making any purchases or sales. Randhawa conveyed his assurance that the digitization of property records will greatly improve the efficiency and transparency of real estate transactions.
