Apple Music's response to Spotify Wrapped, known as Apple Music Replay, has made its annual appearance. However, it still lags behind Spotify's personalized year-end music review. Accessible through the URL replay.music.apple.com, Apple's offering provides insights into users' top songs, albums, artists, genres, and other 2023 listening history details. Despite this, Apple Music Replay lacks the unique, shareable experiences that have become synonymous with Spotify Wrapped, such as the "Audio Aura" in 2021 and the "Listening Personality" feature in 2022.

In contrast to Spotify's engaging features tailored for social sharing, Apple's year-end review relies on more conventional metrics. Apple Music users can discover if they rank among the top 100 listeners of their favorite artist or genre. The Year-End charts, while predictable (Taylor Swift claims the Artist of the Year title), showcase the year's biggest songs on both Apple Music and Shazam. Additionally, the charts now include songs with the most traction on Apple Music Sing, the platform's karaoke-like sing-along feature.

Apple Music Replay offers users a personal top 100 songs chart from every year they've qualified with Replay's playlists. Unlike Spotify Wrapped, designed for timely social media sharing, Apple Music listeners can access Replay throughout the year.

To access Replay, users log in at replay.music.apple.com with their Apple Music ID. While Apple's insights are shareable on social channels or through messaging, they lack the dynamism and artistry found in Spotify's yearly features. Despite this, Apple Music's feature arrived ahead of Spotify's, seemingly aiming to lead the way in music-related social sharing in 2023.
