Will Petrol Prices in Pakistan be Reduced by 140?

Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori has made a big suggestion to cut the price of petrol by 140 rupees. This idea comes after the caretaker federal government recently made the biggest reduction in petrol prices in Pakistan’s history on October 15. This reduction was due to lower global oil prices and a better exchange rate for the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.

The government initially reduced petrol prices by 40 rupees, bringing it down from Rs323.38 to Rs283.38 per liter. High-speed diesel also got cheaper by 15 rupees, going from Rs318.18 to Rs303.18.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar has told authorities to make sure these price reductions benefit the people.

Governor Tesori’s proposal for an even bigger price cut of 140 rupees is aimed at urgently dealing with economic challenges and reducing inflation concerns. This idea has sparked a lot of attention and discussion because it aims to provide more relief to the people of Pakistan during these tough economic times.
