Solar panel prices witness massive increase

Following a brief decline, the prices of solar panels are on the rise again in Lahore, causing concern among consumers.

Reports indicate that the cost of a 7 to 15 kilowatt system has surged by Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000, with the market witnessing an increase of 6 rupees per kilowatt.

Details reveal the significant price hikes across various system sizes. The 7 kW system, for instance, now commands around eight and a half lakh rupees, marking a Rs 25,000 increase.

Similarly, the 10 kW system has risen from Rs 1.15 million to Rs 1.2 million, while the 12 kW system has reached Rs 1.45 million, reflecting a Rs 50,000 uptick. Moreover, the 15 kW system has soared to Rs 1.6 million post-price surge. These figures pertain to on-grid solar systems.

For consumers considering hybrid systems with battery integration, additional expenses for batteries must be factored in. As solar panel prices fluctuate, potential buyers are advised to stay informed and make well-informed decisions regarding their energy needs.
