Sindh govt removes ban on teachers’ recruitment

KARACHI: The Sindh government has lifted the ban on the recruitment of teachers after the cabinet decision.

Sindh Education Department has issued a notification about lifting the ban on the recruitment of teachers and notified that primary and junior school teachers will be recruited across Sindh.

The spokesperson of the Education Department said that the qualified candidates should be recruited through various testing services.

The cabinet members told Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah that there are thousands of posts of lower grades lying vacant in government departments. “Lifting the ban on recruitment not only improves the working of the departments but the youth would get employees opportunities,” the cabinet members said.

In this regard, Education Minister Sardar Shah said that the eligible candidates should prepare their documents. An announcement will be made by the officials in this regard.

Earlier, the Sindh High Court heard a case related to the ban on government jobs in the province, in which the provincial government was given conditional permission for government recruitment across Sindh.

The court had directed that a legal procedure should be adopted for government recruitment from grades 1 to 15.
