SIFC's One-Window Solution Supercharges Investor Support

The Caretaker Federal Minister for Privatization, Fawad Hasan, said during a meeting on Monday that the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) one-window investment facilitation arrangement is quickly addressing the issues in investor facilitation and implementation at various tiers of the government.

The caretaker minister made these comments at the Privatization Division during a meeting with a delegation of Chinese companies and investors, according to a news statement released that same day.

The Chinese companies were told about investment potential in Pakistan by the Federal Minister, who expressed appreciation for their interest.

He noted that the two nations' collaboration in trade and investment is not yet reaching its full potential.

Pakistan can be a very suitable country for relocation of industry from China given the availability of both skilled and unskilled labor, basic raw materials for a wide range of industries as well a fast-growing local market.

The minister articulated that investing in the renewable energy sector and EV manufacturing can be of good interest to Chinese investors.
