Saudi Arabia launches ‘visiting investor’ visa for businessmen 

Saudi Arabia has introduced a new visa for businessmen who seek to visit the kingdom in order to explore investment opportunities.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, has launched the ‘visiting investor’ electronic visa for business visits.

According to the foreign ministry, businessmen can apply for a visit visa via the unified national visa platform, which has easier and simplified computerized procedures.

It stated that the application would be completed and the visa will be issued shortly before being emailed to the investors.
The e-visa service will be available to investors from specific countries in the first phase, with other countries joining in the second phase.

According to the ministry, the decision was taken to accomplish the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, which calls for the Kingdom to be a leading investment power with attractive competitiveness.
