Rs1.57 Spike in LPG Prices Ignites Concerns About Affordability
The cost of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has increased by Rs1.57 per kilogram according to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The new rates will take effect on January 1st, 2024.
The new rate for consumer LPG will be Rs256.43 per kg, compared to the old price of about Rs254.86 per kg.
Additionally, the price for an 11.8 kg LPG cylinder has been reduced downward for consumers to Rs3,025.87, which is an increase of Rs18.52 per cylinder over the previous price of Rs3,007.35.
