The Pakistan Stock Exchange rebounded with resilience on Wednesday, reversing a minor setback from the previous day. The closing bell marked a triumphant ascent as the index concluded today's session at 64,646.85, boasting an impressive increase of 297.25 points or 0.46%.

Within the trading day, the KSE-100 demonstrated fluctuations, ranging from an intraday high of 65,244.60 (+895.00) to a low of 64,219.54 (-130.06) points. The total volume of the KSE-100 index reached 417.378 million shares.

The upward trajectory of the KSE-100 index was propelled by notable contributions from Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (150.13 points), Fertilizer (96.38 points), Engineering (36.6 points), Cement (32.59 points), and Tobacco (22.13 points).

Conversely, the index faced downward pressure from Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (30.37 points), Technology & Communication (18.98 points), Miscellaneous (17.04 points), Automobile Assembler (13.02 points), and Chemical (11.23 points).

Key contributors to the index's positive movement included OGDC (87.68 points), PPL (72.7 points), FFC (62.12 points), PAKT (22.13 points), and KOHC (22.08 points). On the other hand, companies such as MEBL (30.36 points), MTL (22.78 points), PSO (22.16 points), SYS (20.92 points), and PSEL (16.22 points) exerted downward pressure.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 43,299.67, witnessing a net gain of 308.14 points. Total market volume reached 639.616 million shares, slightly down from the previous session, with a traded value of Rs20.28 billion, reflecting a decrease of Rs4.17 billion.

Market activity saw 223,011 trades involving 365 companies, where 190 companies closed higher, 158 closed lower, and 17 remained unchanged.

Noteworthy is the KSE-100's robust performance, gaining 23,194 points or 55.95% during the fiscal year. The ongoing calendar year has seen a cumulative increase of 2,196 points, equivalent to 3.52%.
