For the eighth straight day, the KSE-100 index—the primary benchmark for the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX)—closed higher, closing at 48,474.54 points, up 334.26 points, or 0.69% DoD.

Throughout the session, the index was positive and reached an intraday high of 48,516.64 (+376.37) points.

The KSE-100 Index had a total volume of 275.944 million shares.

The KSE-100 Index has increased by 980.97 points this week, or 2.07%, in comparison to last week.

This is on top of the 1,260.98 points, or 2.73%, that were gained the week before.

As a result, the month-to-date cumulative gain is 2,241.95 points, indicating a significant 4.85% increase.

Of the 100 index companies that were traded in today's session, 59 closed higher, 33 lower, 4 unchanged, and 4 not traded.

Fertilizer (106.72), Power Generation & Distribution (75.59), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (71.32), Food & Personal Care Products (26.84), and Commercial Banks (24.9) were the sectors that contributed to the KSE-100 index.

Businesses that increased the index's value were EFERT (28.76 points), PPL (35.26), ENGRO (39.3), HUBC (51.64), and FFC (42.83).

Engineering received 5.24 points on the KSE-100 Index, Pharmaceuticals received 4.86, Synthetic & Rayon received 3.96, Refinery received 3.88, and Cable & Electrical Goods received 2.11 points.

TRG with 9.52, CHCC with 7.1, BAHL with 5.45, LUCK with 5.35, and IBFL with 3.96 points were the companies that pulled the index lower.

With a net gain of 239.01 points, the All-Share index closed at 32,372.16 in the overall market.

The traded value was recorded at Rs10.53 billion, indicating a decline of Rs0.23bn, while the total market volume was 396.455 million shares, down from 350.068 from the previous session.

A total of 362 businesses reported 154,977 trades, of which 194 closed up, 142 down, and 26 remained unchanged.
