PKR falls against the US dollar, losing 3.25 rupees in value.

The Pakistani rupee (PKR), which ended its incredible 28-day winning streak yesterday, lost 3.25 rupees in value versus the US dollar during Wednesday's interbank session, finishing at PKR 280.29 as opposed to PKR 277.03 the day before.

The intraday high (bid) and low (ask) for the local unit were 277.4 and 281.06, respectively.

Additionally, the local unit lost 4 rupees on the open market versus the US dollar as the dollar was exchanged for 278 for purchasing and 281 for selling, as opposed to the previous closure of 274 for buying and 277 for selling.

Because banks are quoting tomorrow's forward rates because of the low liquidity of US dollars, the value of domestic currency has declined.

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) depreciated 4.38 rupees in relation to the euro, finishing at 296.49 as opposed to its previous value of 292.1.

The value of the British Pound increased by 4.81 rupees, closing at 341.94 from 337.12 the previous day.

The Swiss franc closed at 311.67, up 4.52 rupees from the previous session's closing of 307.15.

PKR shed 2.04 paisa vs the Japanese yen, finishing at 1.872 from 1.852 the previous day.

The Chinese Yuan closed at 38.334 vs the previous session's 37.8736, up 46.04 paisa.

The Saudi Riyal gained 86.61 paisa from its value of 73.86 one day earlier to settle at 74.72.

The value of the U.A.E. Dirham rose from 75.424 a day earlier to 76.308, a gain of 88.36 paisa.

The value of the rupee has increased by 5.7 rupees, or 2.03%, versus the US dollar during the current fiscal year. In contrast, the value of the PKR has decreased by 19.21%, or 53.86 rupees, this calendar year.
