Petrol price likely to drop by Rs35 per litre

According to the source, the petrol price is likely to drop to Rs35 per litre from October 16, 2023.

The price will decrease in response to fluctuations in global oil prices. If this adjustment occurs, the price of petrol may decrease from the current rate of Rs323.38 to Rs285 per litre.

Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) is also expected to see a reduction, potentially by Rs16, bringing it to Rs30 per litre for the next fortnight. It’s important to note that the final decision on these adjustments will rest with the interim government.

On October 1st, there was a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs8 per litre in Pakistan after a two-month period of price hikes. The price was then set at Rs323.38 per litre.

During the same period, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) had decreased by Rs11 per litre to reach Rs318.18, while Kerosene oil prices had been reduced by Rs7.53 per litre, setting it at Rs237.28 per litre.
