Pakistan’s Nespak Secures Landmark Neom Project in Saudi Arabia

On Friday, Nespak's Acting Managing Director, Zargham Eshaq Khan, stated that Nespak was the first Pakistani company to undertake a Neom project. Saudi Electric Company awarded the energy-related project.

Nespak will oversee EHV, HV, and HVDC projects in Neom Bay, Neom Mountain, and Neom Phase II. Project completion is expected in three years with a budget of 46.5 million Saudi Riyals (Rs. 3.794 billion).

The Nespak press release stressed the importance of this project, which corresponds with Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman's Vision 2030 reform initiative. This effort aims to diversify Saudi Arabia's economy beyond oil, creating a flexible, contemporary society ready for 21st-century problems. A floating industrial complex, global trading hub, opulent tourist resorts, and a revolutionary linear metropolis powered by renewable energy are among Neom's ambitious aspirations.

The success of Nespak in gaining this Neom business is a testament to its technological expertise and dedication, especially for an Asian enterprise in an area dominated by European and Western firms. This achievement shows Asian engineering's global rise.
