Pakistan Govt Announces to Support Freelancers with Interest-Free Loans

The government has established a comprehensive plan to assist the country’s freelancers. They will offer interest-free loans and other services to assist freelancers in establishing their own centres. This project intends to empower freelancers and boost IT entrepreneurship.

Furthermore, the government intends to build 5,000 joint e-working centres across the country. These centres will offer freelancers a specialised area with all of the tools they need to work efficiently. Dr. Umar expressed hope about the discussions he had with the finance minister about forming a joint fund with government assistance. This fund seeks to attract worldwide investors and provide financial help to start-ups in order to stimulate innovation and create additional job possibilities.

In keeping with this, the government is encouraging foreign investment in the IT sector. Accounts opened in other countries would be transferred to Pakistan, restoring investor trust and increasing the flow of funds into the country.

Furthermore, Dr. Umar Saif, the IT and Communication Minister, expressed his intention to visit Saudi Arabia to explore investment opportunities in the IT sector. This visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and attract foreign investment to further develop the IT industry in Pakistan.
