OpenAI’s ChatGPT App Records 500K Downloads in Just 6 Days Since Launch

OpenAI’s ChatGPT iOS app has 500,000 downloads, making it one of the most popular apps on Apple’s App Store in the United States in 2023 and 2022. According to new data.ai research, ChatGPT is among the top-performing applications of 2022 and 2023, topped only by the February 2022 launch of Former US President Donald Trump’s Twitter clone, Truth Social.

ChatGPT iOS App is Now Available in 11 More Countries

OpenAI has announced that the ChatGPT iOS app is now available in 11 additional countries, including Albania, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Brazil, South Korea, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, and Nicaragua. The AI company also promised to make the software available on Android smartphones and in many more countries in the near future. The viral chatbot achieved 100 million active users in just two months after its public introduction, although the most popular app TikTok took much longer.

Because of the popularity of ChatGPT, various bogus smartphone apps have been created, attempting to deceive people into paying for exorbitant subscriptions to access their AI. The increased competition among AI chatbot apps was supposed to make life difficult for CbatGPT, but the release of the official apps demolished all such expectations as it emerged as the top-performing software in the Software Store.
