LAHORE: Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman hailed the effectiveness of the public-private partnership model in Pakistan, lauding the Indus Hospital for extending free healthcare services to the less developed and remote regions of Punjab.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Health Network Icon 2024 at Indus Hospital Lahore as the Chief Guest, the governor praised the active involvement of welfare organizations and the Pakistani public in charitable endeavors, citing it as a positive aspect of our society.

Governor Rehman highlighted the significance of the ICON-2024 organized by Indus Network, terming it a commendable initiative. The conference brought together global, national, and local partners for discussions on health, medical education, technology, and research, fostering awareness about the latest advancements in the healthcare sector. Additionally, a meeting between Accountant General Punjab Numana Gulrukh Fareed and Governor Punjab took place today. The governor commended the Accountant General Punjab for spearheading the development of the E-Pension System, aimed at facilitating retired government employees. He urged officers to demonstrate a passion for serving the public and emphasized the importance of a clean work environment and courteous treatment of individuals.

During the meeting, Accountant General Punjab Numana Gulrukh Fareed provided the governor with comprehensive insights into the measures and reforms implemented for the convenience of the public. She emphasized her commitment to promoting IT in the office of the Accountant General of Punjab, revealing the introduction of an online pension system covering 16 districts for the benefit of pensioners.
