FCCI President Urges Pakistani Exporters to Explore Opportunities in Saudi Market

In a strategic move to boost Pakistani exports, Dr. Khurram Tariq, President of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI), has urged local exporters to tap into the vast market potential of Saudi Arabia. Emphasizing that Saudi Arabia is a net importing country, Dr. Tariq highlighted the opportunity for Pakistan to export a variety of goods by fostering positive relationships with Saudi investors and importers.

To further explore avenues for enhancing exports to Saudi Arabia, President FCCI engaged in discussions with Rizwan Saeed, Additional Secretary of the Middle East Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to an APP report. During the meeting, it was revealed that the Pakistani ambassador is set to host an FCCI delegation, facilitating business-to-business (B2B) meetings with leading Saudi Arabian importers during their visit to the kingdom.

Hafiz Shafique Kashif, Convener of the FCCI Standing Committee GCC Region, was also present at the meeting, indicating collaborative efforts to strengthen ties with Saudi Arabia.

In a press statement following the meeting on Thursday, Dr. Tariq emphasized the importance of boosting exports to Middle Eastern countries with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He disclosed that an FCCI delegation, initially scheduled for Umrah, has now been integrated with the Pakistan single country exhibition slated for February in Riyadh. This strategic alignment offers the business community of Faisalabad a unique opportunity to engage with reputable Saudi importers.

Rizwan Saeed assured that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is keen on the FCCI playing a pivotal role in the upcoming exhibition to significantly enhance Pakistani exports. The Ministry also intends to provide full support to the FCCI delegation, ensuring their meetings with representatives from the Riyadh, Medina, and Mecca Chambers.

In an effort to make the exhibition a resounding success, the Pakistani ambassador will extend hospitality to the FCCI delegation, arranging B2B meetings and facilitating their interactions with key players in the Saudi business community.
