European stock markets rise at open

LONDON: European stock markets rose further at the start of trading on Wednesday following strong gains the previous session as traders eye an end to the hiking of interest rates. London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index gained 0.4 percent to 7,491.51 points. In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX index edged up 0.1 percent to 15,947.75 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.2 percent to 7,387.00.

LONDON: European stock markets rose further at the start of trading on Wednesday following strong gains the previous session as traders eye an end to the hiking of interest rates.

London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index gained 0.4 percent to 7,491.51 points.
