The Sindh government announced Wednesday the inauguration of an electric taxi service in Karachi.
The taxi service will begin in the new fiscal year, according to Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon.
He stated that the start of the electric taxi service in Karachi would provide jobs for the youth.
He also stated that the first phase would include the introduction of 150 cabs.
There will be separate pink taxis for ladies, and the drivers will also be female.
The colour red was suggested for male cabs.
