Chinese Textile Group Eager to Establish Textile Factory:  Minister for Commerce

Islamabad: Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, announced on Sunday that a textile group has expressed interest in establishing a textile factory in Pakistan.

As per a statement from the Commerce Ministry, Minister Kamal visited Beijing as part of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's official delegation. 

He attended a grand luncheon hosted by Chinese Premier Li Qiang, where he interacted with his counterpart, Wang Wentao, and joined the Prime Minister in meetings with the Chairman of Shandong Ruyi, a prominent textile group interested in setting up a factory in Pakistan.

Minister Kamal also accompanied the Prime Minister in witnessing the signing of significant MoUs related to solar panel manufacturing, the development of agriculture parks, seed technology transfer, and green hydrogen energy in Pakistan.

Additionally, Minister Kamal and the Minister for Privatization and Investment jointly convened meetings with leaders from well-known Chinese companies, including Sinochem, China National Chemical Engineering, Sinoma, CZK, and Donghua Iron and Steel.

They briefed the companies on investment opportunities and policies in Pakistan, encouraging them to invest in the country. The government assured complete facilitation and extended invitations for the companies to visit Pakistan in the upcoming month.
